We work with a number of accident management companies to provide courtesy vehicles. However, we are independent of these companies and have no dealings with the details of individual cases. Therefore, we only arrange delivery and collection of our hire vehicles, not your own damaged vehicle.
We require a deposit with each booking as this will put your card details on file in the unlikely event that we need to charge for any of the following:
- Penalty charge notices we receive on your behalf. If we can, we will transfer liability, or if we pay them on your behalf, an admin fee will apply.
- Any fuel required on collection of the vehicle. We recommend you make a note of fuel and mileage on delivery and top up the fuel to the same level before the vehicle is returned.
- Cleaning charge. This relates to any excessive cleaning required once the vehicle is returned, for example pet hair removal, rubbish disposal, smoking or general misuse of the vehicle.
We will ask each client to provide the following:
- Their Driving Licence.
- A DVLA Check Code.
- Proof of address, such as a bank statement.
Each hire we cater for is completely unique, so we may need to ask for additional documentation depending on the specific requirements.
We can accept most non-UK driving licences if:
- You have been in the UK for under 12 months
- For non-EU licences, you can provide your international drivers permit or a UK provisional licence, along with your original licence.
We require these documents in order for you to be covered on our insurance policy to drive the courtesy vehicle.
Age 21-24
- Must have held a full licence for a period of 2 years.
- 21-22 year olds must be free of any convictions and any fault accidents.
Age 25 and above
- Must have held a full driving licence for a period of 12 months
- Upper age restriction is 75 for private cars and light commercial vehicles, 69 for all other vehicles.
